What is coaching?

Coaching is an interactive partnership into a thought-provoking and creative process. It encourages and inspires the use of personal and professional talents to achieve specific, extraordinary results. By focusing attention on the skills and actions needed to achieve personally relevant results in your current and future live new insight is gained into the probability of success.

Coaching accelerates the progress between the conception of an idea, the forming of intentions, exploring opportunities and taking action until it is accomplished. It concentrates on where individuals and teams are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future.

Coaches encourage individuals to develop the necessary skills, attitudes and knowledge that will help you develop an action plan to meet your goals by raising awareness. Coaching will help you make much better choices based on what is really important to you.

What to expect

The benefits and the speed of outcomes are dependent on how much time and effort you put in. An ecology check is established and a personal action plan is plotted after you have discussed you desired outcomes with your coach. Optimistic pessimism is applied to the action plan which allows for alternative strategies to ensure that your action plan is successfully completed, regardless of any obstacles met along the way - by elimination of unforeseen interferences we make your outcome inevitable! When you are able to see, hear and feel the desired outcome a route to success can be developed, no matter what the size of your goal is.

What is a typical coaching session?

The Intro Session

Your initial session is complementary - it allows you and your coach to introduce each other and determine the compatibility of your relationship. It should be noted that during any session with your coach you are not required to discuss any private or personal details. Typically the session lasts about one hour long as one-on-one we discuss and establish the potential outcomes of coaching.

A short demonstration of the effectiveness of personal coaching will be shown if time allows. If further coaching is required times will be scheduled for the coaching program of your choice.

Follow-Up Sessions

The coaching sessions which follow you introductory session typically last an hour and a half, they can be face-to-face or over the telephone. In these sessions the item(s) which require attention will be discussed and defined in detail, we will also thoroughly discuss the desired outcome to your goal. An “ecology check” will be done to determine if the desired outcome will reap the maximum benefits as we work through the problem - this ensures the effectiveness of the action plan. Once these are established the process of re-encoding and rewriting the mental patterns and set-internal programs of the brain will begin. Home assignments will be provided if applicable to the coaching program, they can assist in maximizing the benefits of our valuable coaching time together.

Home Assignments

New ways of being and new behavior develop over time until they become highly effective. Home assignments are designed to assist you with this between coaching sessions. Assignments typically require 5 minutes of you day if they are done properly, they help solidify the positive changes that you would have identified as being important to you, your coach will be expecting them to be completed by the agreed-upon date.
